Terry G, the popular singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, recently compared Wizkid to Jay-Z at an Afrobeats podcast. He sees Wizkid as the Nigerian version of Jay-Z, a very successful American hip-hop legend and businessman with a significant influence in hip-hop culture.
W is the Jay-Z of our generation. He is the first [born child of the new generation of Nigerian singers], and we will always provide for him. One thing I admire about Wizkid is his demeanour. "He has inspired a lot of people," he said.
Wizkid visited my house in Ishaga in 2016 to record a song with me. I was overjoyed he came. We recorded four tracks together. "God bless Wizkid," Terry G stated.
