Ruger believes that talented Nigerian singers are not up to five.

Ruger, a well-known artist also known as Michael Adebayo Olayinka, has issued a bold statement.

He believes that just a few musicians in the country are actually skilled. He believes that the majority of artists sing for enjoyment or entertainment. Ruger stated in a recent interview with Cool FM in Lagos that there are less than five artists who are truly great and create meaningful music. However, he did not reveal who these brilliant Nigerian artists are or where he ranks on the list. "I'm not the most popular artist in Nigeria, but I'm up there in terms of talent. "We are not up to five," he stated.

"I can't say where I'm on the list, but I'm there. It's not up to five. Most people sing for cruises, but we [the talented artists], we make music." Ruger was surprised to learn that he has a significant fanbase in Israel, selling out a 7,000-capacity arena in the country.
