Wike authorises the promotion of 1,018 FCDA senior and junior staff members.

 

Mr Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has authorised the promotion of 1,018 senior and junior employees of the Federal Capital Development Authority. Mr Shehu Ahmad, Executive Secretary of the FCDA, confirmed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday. Ahmad stated that the promotion was for officers in Grade Levels 7 through 15, encompassing 2022 and 2023. He explained that the promotion exercise held in April 2024 was successful for 1,018 senior and junior workers. He stated that the minister approved the urgent examination of the FCDA's Conditions of Service and Operations Manual.

According to the executive secretary, the approval was delivered by Mr Emeka Ezeh, Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission. He noted that the authority was in the process of establishing the appropriate machinery to achieve the review's objectives. "The FCDA's management and personnel expressed heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Wike for the approvals. “This will go a long way in boosting the morale of staff and improve their productivity in line with the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Ahmad stated.
