Congressional Republicans filed a formal impeachment case against US President Joe Biden on Monday, using the first day of the Democratic National Convention to begin a political assault that is unlikely to gain traction. Three powerful committees in the Republican-led House of Representatives have accused Biden of corruption related to his son Hunter's international business dealings. Jim Jordan, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, stated that the investigation found "conclusively" that Biden had "abused his public office for the private financial benefit of the Biden family and Biden business associates."Republicans, on the other hand, have presented no concrete evidence that Biden used his office to benefit his son or was involved in Hunter's companies.
