Shola Ogudu, the first babymama of award-winning artist Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid, has opened up about her pregnancy and the birth of her son, Boluwatife. In an interview with Maria Chike for the Mums Next Door podcast, the single mother of one said that she didn't realise she was pregnant until she was five months along. According to her, she had no symptoms until she was 5 months old, when her tummy protruded. Shola noted that she had a stress-free pregnancy because there were no symptoms, save that she had to stop using body spray and perfume during that time.
She stated that she was still active enough to attend school in the Benin Republic at the age of eight months and two weeks.
In Shola Ogudu’s words:
I didn't realise I was pregnant for four months. I was pregnant until I was four months along. I did not have any symptoms. I'm not sure what the misconception is, but the instant I found out, my tummy expanded dramatically. The rest of the pregnancy went well because I was attending university. I attended school in Benin Republic. I went every week and came home on weekends till I passed my final examinations. I stopped attending to school at eight months and two weeks. The only difference was that my stomach was large, but there were no symptoms. "I had to get rid of my body spray and perfume."
